I would say they still have some improvements to do like the miss of automatic watermarking on export (being noted in the review) and the printing module leaves to be desired (or I just can't figure how to use it). Since July, Corel came with frequent updates (every month or so) so as of today, the program is really stable. The overall program is indeed very snappy but it suffered with some stability issues and missing supported cameras back then. Plus I was getting very great results out of it. I went ASP2 mainly because of price, I got it for a ridiculously low price and also I was pleasantly surprised with the efficiency of the workflow and the overall UI. I tried AfterShot Pro 2 and C1 Pro 7 at the same time. I wanted to try something else before making my decision. The main reason I did not go Lightroom was because I was not too too comfortable with the workflow and UI but this is subjective. That being said, I am running Corel AfterShot Pro 2 since end of June 2014 (when Apple announced they are stopping Aperture development). Now the goal is not to start another flaming thread on Lightroom vs others but just as and informative thread for those who haven't make up their mind yet. I came across this interesting review and comparaison between Lightroom 5 and AfterShot Pro 2 and thought it might be good to share it here as many folks around are looking to alternatives to Aperture and do not necessarely want to go Lightroom route.
